Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Is it OK to completely change during a match?

I mean totally change the formation and everything. I will try to score early on and then change to an ultra defensive tactic.

Ok, I'm no expert but...

Completely changing formations was a real no-no in previous versions of the game, in my experience. Except for the AI of course, which could and did change to 4-2-4 when behind at the end of a match to snatch a draw.

But with FM08 I have been having good results with Loversleaper's system of tactics (see elsewhere in this forum), and now you can make some changes within a set of tactics to real effect. Still keeps pretty much with a given formation (4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1, say), but with real tactical changes that make a difference.

YMMV
