I second Jonahn06's comments, that's a great back 5.

Higo Lloris is a great goalkeeper (wonderkid) who I have had at both Man U and Palermo.
He can usually be picked up for £10 mil over 24 months.

Zapata (Udinese) and Kompany (HSV) are also great young defenders so either of these or Garay / Criscito would be great.

I have been into the game a couple of times now as Man Utd and everytime Hugo Lorris can be signed for free a few seasons in so wait on that one.

Van der Vaart will transform your furtunes trust me, play him as playmaker and let him take you free kicks and corners, I have had him twice now on FM08 and he has always every season been my best player hr also makes a great captain, and doesnt seem as injury prone as rpevious fm's if he isnt the best buy for what he can be bought for then you aint had him lol.

1st season I bought him he scored 23 goals and got 31 assists (that was pre-patch) he was my captain after second season and was always a good choice with the rest of the players, after patch first season he got me 17 goals and 25 assists and had a 1 month injury in that season. Both time he only cost me £10.25 million from HSV.

It's your tactics, put your wingers back into ML and MR with arrows into AML/R. They still need to come back and help defend. Also have your defensive line push up as you attack, your team is spread thinner as you push more into attack. Rio and Vidic are good enough to fall back against a counter attack anyway

i'd love to know how u get money to buy players for man utd lol

i only can get tops of 10 mil at the start and i dont really want to sell half of my team just to raise some cash.

i know man united have a incredibly large loan debt so you lose an extra 4 mil or something a month.

i want to buy people like aguero and veloso from sporting but i just cannot compete with the other european teams
