Sporting CP team & tactics

I'm starting a season for the first time in FM2008. My team is Sporting CP from Portugal. The first problem is that i only have €3.500.000 to spend in transfers. The second problem is that I don't have a experienced Gk. The third problem is that I don't have good MR/ML.

I thought to start with this tactic 4-3-1-2, but never tried it.

Any tips???

You should try a 4-1-2-1-2, with Veloso as DMC controling the game... He's a great DMC, great passing and creativity, to help you develop your attack, and great positioning and tackling to help your defence. He's the key player. You should get another keeper, and maybe another LB.

What do you mean by controlling the game? Is there some option to do that? I know that I should get another keeper and maybe a DL and a DC, but I'm short in money to get better players. I don't want to buy just for buying. Major problem is that FC Porto and SL Benfica have very good teams.

You Could Try for Sergio Mota and Alex (Vasco) as you dont need WP in Portuguees Leagues :thup:

But what do you IS this a good tactic or should I play in a 4-4-2 to close the left and right sides?

I'll probably try Alex Teixeira from Vasco (release fee of 2.200.000€). Sergio Mota have a release fee that is beyond my budget

loan in almunia from arsenal

also song, flamini, diarra, bendtner, walcott for loaning purposes

deschacht from anderlecht for lb or vandamme from anderlecht around 500.000 euro

Make Veloso your playmaker, give him max creative freedom, normal mentality and mixed passing style. That's how I play him and he's doing great.
