Hi, I'm new to these forums... Last time I played a lower league was in CM3 when i was Hereford and at the time I won promotion but couldn't get promoted because my stadium didn't meet league specifications or something...

That's not going to be a problem this time round? Also a lot of the lower league teams are semi-pro. This doesn't get in the way of promotions etc?

Best to read the guidelines at the start of the forum .

In answer to your question - no it should not affect you. I've won promotion with a LL team with only 4000 capacity (1000 of those were seats!) :thup:

Ok seeing as though this thread is called "question" i have one to ask myself.In another Thread in a different part to the forum someone said something about Cadbury Heath who are in the Western League Division one...if these are in the game....are Bridport or was it just some random comment.

Mr Portupoof legend, 4000 capacity with 1000 seats is now the minimum requirement for Football League entry in England (assuming you are playing there), the rules changed three or four seasons ago from a 6000 capacity with at least 10% seated.

hi thanks for that. If your stadium is under the requirements, does the board automatically decide to upgrade the stadium? Or will you be forced to keep playing in the conference?

This was what turned me off playing in the lower leagues in CM3 (was Telford, not Hereford as previously stated!)

Not sure it features in FM, as teams can reach the Premiership with a stadium below the minimum 15,000 all seated required for entry.

It should be in there, both ends.

for the more pedantic among you

a) does having a semi-pro status affect whether or not you get promotion to football league? (guessing no)

b)does the size of your stadium affect whether or not you get promoted to the league?
