Default Brazilian LLM

I wanted to be different from the main bulk of LLM managers on this forum; I opted out of the glamour life of Europe and settled for a challenge from Brazil. I had a good look through the mass of teams that were in the 3rd Division circuit. CE Nova Esperanca the chosen team for me to lead to glory.

Created only 7 years ago and armed with a South Korean chairman, my transfer and wages budget was relatively high for a deemed rubbish club. A transfer kitty I would not need as the main bulk of my signings were set to be freebies, only 9k spent on 2 players to bolster my Youth set up and get them into winning ways was needed.

Predicted by the media to finish a respectable 3rd from 8 was no shock to me as by the poor looking state of my squad; it would be a good achievement. I scoured the market for the tell tale players that would significantly improve my squad in the forward and defensive areas.

With the addition of a solid keeper, defender, midfield and solitary striker to any note we begun the season with hopes of finishing the season 3rd. Staffing was also a problem as I had only general coaches, a youth team coach, a scout and physio, we needed to strengthen that area as well. So with the introduction of an Assistant manager and another Youth team coach, the players attributes began to increase, albeit slowly.

We obtained a Parent club, Nautico, they sent 3 players on loan, 2 decent and 1 of some use. We also obtained a feeder club, Union Soacha from Colombia who joined the already acquired Atletico Sorocaba on our books.

How wrong the media would be as, CENE hurtle through the Brazilian Mato Grosso do Sul State Championship fixtures with no real regrets. Results with over 4 goals to the good were common place as we finished our 14 games top of the league, earning 50k for doing so.

Pld 14 Won 11 Drew 1 Lost 2 For 36 Against 9 GD +27 Points 34

With my top scorer finishing with 16 from 13 starts, as well as finishing the Ave. Ratings (8.00) and MOM (7) table top.

The cup was a disappointment although being deposited out of it by Cruzeiro 4 – 0 on aggregate after a thumping 10 – 1 aggregate win over Vilhena.

The season was only half way through as July was upon us and the Third Division proper had begun. A quick friendly with our Colombian feeder club was a good paving stone to continue our rich vain of scoring, 6 -1 the inevitable score. Operario (MT) our greatest rivals, troubled us greatly, eventually losing to them in a controversy riddled game, which enabled them to gain top spot and eventually win the league by 2 points.
Pld 14 Won 9 Drew 3 Lost 2 For 22 Against 10 GD +12 Points 30

Still that was not the end of our fixtures as another 2 rounds followed. Drawn against Joinville; a strong group 12 outfit, buckled under our constant bombardment of their goal as we ran out 3 – 2 winners away from home to set us up with an away goals aggregate win. Palmas followed in the second round, they were brushed aside by the might of my attack, yet more goals from my star striker, the aggregate win of 5 – 2, delighting my chairman.

At this point in time my star striker had close to a handful of hat-tricks in his amass of 28 goals.

Yet more games, were to be played in the “Final Stage”, another league consisting of 8 teams, the cream of the crop from the 16 groups of the Third Division. From close inspection of all the team I faced, I single out Ipatinga as my nearest rivals.

Well this third of the season was set to be the hardest so far, and how it lived up to its name. After a good start of 5 unbeaten games we were sitting pretty at the top of the table 5 points clear. Then we started to conceded more goals, loses arrived with the odd win to help us stick in the top 3. Our strikers stopped scoring, defence was leaky, midfield had no energy; due to the players burning out and the lack of replacements I had and with the fact I had at least 8 injuries plus 2 bans at one stage of the season. But we defied the critics to finish second with a strong win with my under 20 squad on the last game of the season.

Pld 14 Won 6 Drew 5 Lost 3 For 15 Against 12 GD +3 Points 23

So all in all we did awesomely well to be promoted to the 2nd Division; but my finances not looking healthy at 364k in the red.

2) Updates should take the form of a short description of how your Team is doing. Game summaries should be avoided, but may be posted for Cup Finals, Playoff games and important games which have a direct bearing on your Team. eg, relegation deciders.
Waste of your time, fella...no-one will read it.

If you like long updates maybe FMS is where you want? Otherwise, shorten them

I skimmed it for blatant breaches!

Mind you I couldn't even tell how many seasons were covered!

Chaps...chaps...

Just because 83% of his posts have been done in GPTG, does that mean it's impossible he's changed, embraced the LLM way?

Where's your trust?

(Don't answer that )
