Soldatino is infamous around these parts
Default Italian and Czech job

Hello guys,
I'm new here, anyway here is my short, so far seven seasons lasting story. I tried my best to keep all the principles of LLMing, I must admit I really like this way of playing, also because the scouts usualy came up with very bad players, I started to give more chances to own youth eam players and sign very few players both during pre-season or January.

Just for info, I loaded Czech 1st and 2nd division and in Italy all leagues down to Serie C2, and now let's go :-)

1st season:
I picked Castelnuovo of Serie C2-B to start, first season went very very well, the squad there seemed to be very strong (actually it really was, I signed only one player during January transfer window), above all both my strikers had fantastic season and kept on scoring for fun. That brought me up to 2nd position and into the playoffs, unfortunately there I lost to Reggiana.

2nd season:
After very succesful season I considered myself as the Emperor of Serie C2-B for the comming season, during summer I bought only two players that turned to be subs later anyway, and also promoted some babies from U20 team. Also babies were very bad but anyway, I started very badly, after 10 matches I had only 2 points, I did change of formation and tactics, it helped a bit as I get 9 points of comming 5 matches. Rest of the season was struggle to avoid relegation, in the end my team did it and finished 12th.

3rd season:
I resigned at Castelnuovo and applied for job by teams of C1 and C2 that were without manager, it was Sansovino who offered me job. I did really badly there, nothing worth mentioning excepte several loses happened there and after like 3/4 of season I was last, with very little hope to avoid the drop, so I decided to quit the club, I'd get sacked sooner or later anyway. In April I get offer from Czech 2nd division team Karlovy Vary, club was last but one, I helped them to get up to 13th spot.

4th season:
Karlovy Vary had good squad and over the summer I added some more players, this seson turned out to be huge success for team that was tipped for 15th place. We finished 4th and in Czech Cup we managed to beat two 1st division sides before geting knocked out. Despite succesful season I had desire to come back to Italy and applied for jobs in italian clubs.

5th season:
It was Montevarchi who offered me job, I immediatelly accepted. Season started with success in Serie C Cup group stage as I surprisingly won 4 out of 4 there, unfortunately since that I won only three more matches in regular season of Serie C2-B :-( I finished last with only 11 points and had to look for another job.

6th season:
Ferentino sacked their manager and I took his place there. It was very good season this time, then I think I broke rules of LLMing as I bought striker that used to rock for me while in Castelnuovo, without scouting etc, though IMO also real managers can do like that to bring their good fellas - what do you think of it guys? This guy has really "funny" record btw, in first two seasons that I spent in Castelnuovo he had scored very much goals, 20+ each season, since I left, he scored only thre more during that time, and now after he joined my club, he even broke his old record from Castelnuovo. Anyway we ended 6th, just a point from playoff spot.

7th season:
I strengtened my squad a bit, but as usual my scouts sucked so new arrivals once again became benchers in better case, cheer-leaders in worse, anyway we repeated nice season, ending 7th this time, I also had nice run in Serie C Cup losing only in quater final of this competition to Castelnuovo :-/ Unfortunately two of my key players now decided to retire, so comming summer will really prove if I'm any good manager.

That is not breaking the rules (or rather: not following the guidelines) at all! Think about it: you had already managed and trained the bloke for at least a season and played him all the time. You knew him perfectly well.

No need to scout him IMO.

What DJ said. Nothing wrong with signing players from your old clubs, if anything it adds realism.

Welcome Czech bloke, good first update.

And what the others said about signing someone you've managed before. Nothing wrong with it, you know what he can do from your previous club(s).

Thanks guys for all responses :-)

8th season
I needed to replace my two leaving stars, somehow I managed to do it and we enjoyed in Ferentino another good season. After 20 matches we even became top, but it lasted only for another three weeks, then came losing streak which put us down to 5th place. Win on the last matchday brought me to final 4th place which secured us places in promotion playoff. In first round i faced Rovigo and beated them 1-0 on aggregate, in final it was Boca San Lazzaro that awaited us. First leg i won 2-0 and i was almost sure we will easily get promoted.... but losing 5-1 in second leg meant the contrary.

Another problem sis that this season we spent more than we earned, this means for next season I'll have to try offloade some high earners so I fear for a while I can forget of promotion to Serie C1.

Anyway, forza Ferentino :-)

KUTGW!!

You were confusing the guideline with regards to the striker you purchased from a former club. The guideline is to not purchase the player(certainly without scouting anyway) if you started a brand new game because IRL you would not know about him.

Anyway, like I said KUTGW!
