How come, you can start up the league, but you can't play or watch it?

Wanted to start coaching Calais,
but found out it was impossible.

Because the CFA is where all the reserve teams from the top clubs play. People complained that their reserve players didn't get to play any matches, so the CFA was added to the game as a potential active league but not a playable one.

I share your disappointment, because I thought that the CFA would be made a playable league in FM 2007.

It's generally considered that you should only be posting here if you play LLM. That's what I was brought up to believe, anyway.

But the CFA isn't all reserves is it? I really wanted to play it cos I love the French leagues and then I found you can't so I binned my disc :@

It was announced long before the game was released that there would be no new leagues in the game. I guess you should have checked the forums for this before you bought the game.
