I'm looking forward to starting a new season with Lewes F.C after the patch has been downloaded form the heavens.
I feel now would be the wrong time to start as the minor annoyances would continue to bug me
how many others are waiting on the same

Needless to say everyone is waiting for the patch but you shouldn't have too many problems with the bugs by starting a game now and loading the patch later unless you want up to date squads

I've never been able to understand the "up to date squad" camp.

The second you take over a team "up to date" is gone. The second after that when you send out scouts, or the unscrupulous sign their favourite player, "up to date" is gone.

"Up to date's" a myth.

I agree on the Up to date thing to a degree, but its always nice to see how my fave team should be getting on (on the PC) as opposed to how they are getting on (on grass).

It's never really bothered me.

The squads change that fast it doesn't matter anyway. Although, in an old CM0304 save, a certain dutch supercoach was appointed to Australia....spooky

I'm waiting for the patch before I wade in as well.

I like starting a new game with the same version if possible.

The 'minor' annoyances are enough.

With the injury bug, I'd rather not start a game and get half my squad out injured before I get hold of the patch.

The up to date squads are important to me, as I often don't have that much money(if any) to bring in new faces so what I have in the squad is what I get for the first few months at least.

I also like following the real life team so having as similar players as possible for the big kick off is nice.

Seeing as I thend to start in leagues I Know bugger all about (thanks Frank) I would have no idea if the squad lists were up to date anyway. And besides having struggled for a few seasons I never like to give up a save...I always think I'll be sorry for a 'might have been...
