"He certainly knows where the goal is."
It's to be hoped so really given he's my star striker and he's stood two yards from the goalline.

"A sensational goal."
Let's rewind... My attacking free kick is cleared to a forward. My defender tackles him on the half-way line. In the challenge the full back's leg is broken; he turns red and lies on the ground writhing in agony. Their attacker runs the whole way to the goal unopposed and scores past my distraught keeper.
So much for sportsmanship in FM.

When your full back is on the wing about 18 yards from your own goal, some light pressure from their right winger and itstead of knocking it out for a throw or booting it up the line, or anything really, he whips in a beautiful cross to the penalty spot for one of their attackers to head home unopposed.
The commentary being "that was a poor clearance."
This has happened several times. :explode:

When you get rediculous results outside you control:
World cup final 2022: Australia 3-2 Switzerland.
Getting a little rediculous there me thinks! Especially considering Brazil were third!

I don't see why it's unrealistic that Australia wins the World Cup in 16 years. Would you have told anyone in 1986 that Turkey and South Korea will both be in the semi finals in 2002, what do you think would have been the reaction? oooh, that's unrealistic!.

Back to lurking on the boards after a few months lurking in far warmer and sandier climes.
"He puts the ball into Row Z!" No he doesn't - not at any non-league ground I've been to anyway. "He lumps the ball into the industrial estate next door!" Now thats more like it.

| Or even, he thumps the ball over row B, through Tesco's car park onto the A15 causing one car to swerve...
