I don't know if thius has happened to anyone before but I finished 5th in the premiership with spurs and won the uefa cup. I am quite sure that the winner of the uefa cup gets automatic entry to the champions league next year but I didn't get entry.

winners of the UEFA cup get automatic entry into the UEFA cup, if they havent already qaulified for europe.

Ok sorry I thought that the Uefa cup winners go into the champ league.
