I have noticed three players in my squad (Mark Gonzales, Adriano and Mirko Vucinic) who have long term injuries.
For example
"Your physio admits that he HAS long term concerns over XXXXXX"
"XXXXXXX is carrying a <<groin strain/tear>> (insert nasty injury here) which is expected to cause him problems in the future"
I'm wondering if they are destined to remain my own portable 'Darren Andertons' or whether there will be any hope of their injuries clearing up?
Can I do anything to clear them up - been looking for the "send to surgery" button, but can't seem to find it...
Losing Vucinic would be like losing an arm, Adriano I can cope without, useless....
SI - Am thinking there should maybe be a way of sending players with long term injuries away to see a specialist (they're all in America mainly) - you would then lose your player for maybe 3-6 months with maybe a 75% chance of them fully recovering (depending on severity of injury).
I've said it before - Vucinic is too good to lose!!!
It happened to me aswell, i signed a guy for 18million and it just says he is rather prone to injuries, he keeps getting wee injuries and being out for 2 or 3 weeks then coming back for a couple of games and then just gets injured again.
Surely for that much money the physio player should fail a medical! it's ruined my whole season!
Yeah this is most certainly annoying, and frustrating as there is no way to tell who will be injury prone before signing them. Whatever happened to medicals!!
SI - Will these players stay injury prone forever or is there a possibility that they will recover over time?
They remain injury prone in the current version of FMH I'm afraid - you can minimise the risk to them by reducing their training regimes obviously, however they will continue to be somewhat dogged by injuries during their career.
As manager I'm afraid its up to you to decide if they're talented enough to warrant a special training regime and catering to or not ...
(and in the next version I'll try and remember to look into surgery options for them )

i've had 4 players who have injuries of this type in 6 seasons. michael owen is the first culprit, then cicinho a left back from brazil. i've got a couple more too. noone will buy them or they just retire early. owen went at 29.
do these conditions always exist in a certain player (i mean owen is always going to be injury prone) or are they brought about by poor training or playing a player while already injured?
it's a pretty crappy thing in the game, especially as some of the injuries are a bit lame. how can you be carrying a groin strain for 5 years?
