I live in the U.S. and have bought the last 2 FM versions ('06 - '07) from the UK from a well-known online game distributor. The game was shipped to me and I had no issues.

However, this year (I guess due to some copyright laws) I cannot purchase the FM version from overseas, and am only "allowed" to buy the WSM version locally.

So putting aside the fact that I cannot stand (!!) the beautiful game being called "soccer" instead of football, are there ANY differences in the game?? gameplay?? data??

Will this version compromise ANY of the game's features or balance of powers?? (i.e. the MLS is now better than the EPL, or American players become Footie-Gods??)

I already put an order in for the WSM, but would REALLY appreciate an answer.

Also, what about patches?? Do they come out at the same time and with the same fixes for WSM as they do for FM??

I appreciate any info I can get. Thank you!!!

i believe there is no difference except some language aspects... the game itself is identical.

No difference in gameplay.
You will have to download a seperate (sp?) and you can change the language from English US to English UK where it will be called football, NOT soccer
