Sega,
SI - please take note of the extreme confusion the naming change is causing.
I think a cover with a soccer ball on it and the name "football manager" should be sufficient.. especially to your target audience.

I am no programmer, but such a delay makes me fear that the differences go far beyond the name and language of the game...
Are WWSMers REALLY getting the same game??

I think its far easier to understand if you think about it from SI's business objectives.
What's the point in releasing a
Beta patch? To get feedback for the
real patch.
What size is the WWSM user-base compared to the FM user-base?
And how football-educated is the average WWSM user compared to the average FM user?
They would (rightly!) expect to get much better customer feedback about the Beta from their FM base than their WWSM base.
From a developer's perspective, it would be a massive hassle to maintain two separate code bases for two different games. It is, however, common to build the same code into multiple SKU's. This is a build/compile option, and it should take no longer to prepare the patch for a second SKU than it takes to run the build; machine time, not human-time.

What?? No - your post is the first I've heard that rumour. If you have a link to such said by an SI employee, please provide.

1. If the game is not available as a boxed game in stores, why name it WWSM? The people that are Digi Downloading it know exactly what it is, SI should have just (IMHO) provided a DD for FM for the North americans...

It
is available as a boxed game in stores; I have purchased previous CM(SI) and FM from places like Fry's, etc. It is also available boxed from Amazon.

This was explained
earlier in this thread. FMM is looking for a resident executable program called "fm.exe". Your program is called "wsm.exe". If you
rename the file, it should
* work.

I can't attest to this; I don't use FMM myself.
