Im sure it's been discussed many times but i've noticed post match stats, particularly possession, are a shambles quite honestly.
Won a match 5-0, had 42(yes 42! which is ridiculous considering it was against Chelsea) shots on goal, 23 on target. They had 2 shots on goal, none on target and the possession after the game...... 49%-51% to Chelsea!
Ive also notcied after winning a couple of tight games 1-0 the possession was more near 60%-40% in my favour. Really the match engine is in a shocking state.
Is the match engine still fixable with a future patch or is it gone beyond that stage now for FM08?

Im sure its just taking time, as presumably they want to make 100% sure that nothing else is spotted.
That was the reason for the delay of the first patch... And look at the results...
I think it is a pretty well know flaw. Teams that take a highly defensive stature don't get closed down well enough in their own half. It allows them to retain posession by passing the ball between defenders and getting a bigger percentage in the process.
In my experience, I really don't think it effects the overall result of the match greatly. I just don't really pay much attention to the poss % when analyzing stats because of this.
