Attributes should be masked longer
this does not make sense as the scout report is supposed to be the scouts rating based on thier observations. if i watch a game played by a person the i will be able to assign a rating to that ability.

it is possible to make a caviat in the report though saying "based on a brief observation" where the report is less accurate but becomes more accurate if the player is scouted repeatedly.

i think the physical attributes of a youth player should play a larger role in predicting his ability. it is easier to predict that a physically gifted youth athlete will succeed than one who has to develop more.

Unfortunatly no Belgian quickstart otherwise I would have played with RSC Anderlecht. I started a game with Chelsea but don't know which players to buy and who I should sell. Anyway, it looks like very good, much better than FM2007. Can't wait 'till we get the full game released on the 19th of october !

whats with the scouting?
am i out of the loop or something? it seems all that scouting is good for is to get knowledge i never get any players at all!
is that there for a reason? if so doesnt seem to be a very logical one

Erp?

Your question almost doesn't make sense to me - either we have a fundamental assumption problem or a language problem.

I'll answer as though one or both of those is true - which may make the answer insultingly simplistic. If that's the case, please don't be mad, just clarify your question!

Yes. That is correct. Do you expect your scouts to actually sign the players for you?

In FM, scouting only gives you knowledge.

It is then up to you to decide whether or not to bid on the players recommended to you. From the Player's screen, "Make Offer", or "Approach To Sign".

You should also, especially if you're Milan , get a batch of new youngsters "from your youth academy" each summer.

. . .

If your question is more like "My scouts never recommend anybody", then maybe you haven't sent them out to scout?

Find one of your Scouts, get to his Assignments page, and assign him to Scout | Nation | Italy, for example.

Remember its pretty useless to scout obscure nations in a Small database, you'll have much more success with a Large database or by scouting an "active" league. Scouts are likely to return far fewer players from an inactive league.

Hello, I really hope that some of you guys could help me with this problem. Suppose that I start my game with leagues from spain. Now my question is is there a point in me sending my scouts out to cameroon or ivory coast for example to look for potential good players? I mean even with a large database, even if you manually look for players in cameroon or ivory coast you wouldnt find any. This is annoying bc as a manager you should be able to get players from all around the world without having to overload your computer with all 51 leagues.
Anw hope I ll be hearing your opinions on this thanks
