basically i was wondering if there was a way to have a file full of kits for one team and the XML file being able to rotate them when a certain year like the Arsnal one last year that worked sometimes and didnt other times.

nope, unless u extract a future kit after the 1st season,

But i think that in fm2008 there should be the real kit for the first season or two, then have a list of kit manufacturers and sponsers and kit styles then the game randomizes these three things to creat a new kit every couple of seasons or 2...

personally id be happier with the game randomly changint the away colours every couple of years then i can make my own as its more fun IMO

Licensing issues would be a problem - SI would need licenses to use kit makers and sponsors, I expect there would also be problems with having licensed kits that change. (Plus the time and manpower it would take to creat all these alternative kits).

There is a manual method for changing kit colours in a game, however it resets the style to plain and you lose the trim colour See Here

A fully functional (trim and styles) and user friendly method for this would be best, as it would be optional for people you want to change the kit colours (imagine the amount of posts in the bug forum if Man U suddenly started wearing Sky/Laser Blue Away or red and white stripes at home)

Well then if they cant I think fm should come with templates to create your own kits
