FM Genie Scout for FM 2007

I trying to run the FM Genie scout on win 98 but keep getting this error message: "Access violation at address BFF7B9A6 in module 'KERNEL32.DLL'. Write of address 16D72D8C"
If anyone could help I would be greatly appreciated.

Once I done a full uninstall, deleted all reg entries and then reinstalled it worked like a charm.

Don't think I did, didn't download demo until the Sunday evening and used the official links to NOTW/Game.

However, going to try downloading strawberry version and see what happens...

I've looked at the full potential of some of the top players, rooney and roandlo only go up 1 point. The save game im using is from day 1 of the gold demo. Is the potenetial what would happen without taking into consideration the training they are on? Or will they only become that good no matter how well the training is working?

I had the same problem as you, i haven't downloaded the leaked version. I started a new quickstart and saved on the 1st day, it then worked with that save, so still gives you an idea of whos good etc

Every one that get's an error using FM Genie Scout, should go to the following place and follow the instructions Genie has given when it comes to reporting errors:

The topic says FM genie scout 2006 but in page two I think the 2007 version is released.

There are some changes in the demo's savegame db structure and that's why if you have got an error you must do following steps:

- make a screenshot of error and attach it there
- send me a file that will be created by Scout in the same folder ("db_TFMClassName_******_EOutOfMemory.dat" or "db_TFMClassName_******_EFileCorruptError.dat" )

And I'll repair your bug.

Genie- Having posted the original link and been telling everyone how great the programme is, I have just encountered the data error message in my demo save game. This is not critical at all in the demo, but will the same error appear in the full game requiring individual repair? Great little programme by the way.
