in fm07 i've found its almost impossible to have a tactic that is good at both home and away. you have to play 2 different types of football unless you're playing a much weaker team away.

i've yet to see a tactic that is good for away games against equal or better opponents.

Nice tactic, but alot of conceeding going on. Since im playin with Atletic Bilbao...
Fernando Llorente is very good in the Target Man Position.. After a few games he told me in his "RS" that he liked the team tactics. And aduritz (very fast striker) bags em in. The problem is that i also concede alot.. when I win its either 2-0 or 1-0 or like 5-4 or 3-2. And if I lost its also mostly like 1-5 or 0-4. I think the GK needs some tweakin too, since I see many errors made by him.
The problem is i dont have good defenders, with jumping 17 that is, so I was prepared to lose some games. Ended up 4th in my 2nd Season in Spain, now playing UEFA cup.

This was just what i needed
I had to test another persons tactic to have some fun again as my own tactics always turns out to be **** :p

Started a new game with Juventus on the new patch. I know its a quality squad compared to the rest of serie B tho..... Still im having fun bagging the goals and hardly letting in any goals. Played 27 games sofar, won 21, 4 draws and lost 2.
Im hardly conceding any goals either. 14 sofar.
Ive scored 62 so its going nice.

This is what i like really. To play the game without having to tweak and watch the other teams mentality all the time etc.
I just want to play and have fun without to much effort and still winning !!!

I'm also in dire straights at the moment, so will give it a try. Also taken some advice from the "getting the best out of Ronaldo" thread, as he's been very ordinary for me.

I'm back!

Tried it out with my man utd team. Only played 6 games but won them all. Ronaldo has got MOM in every game and is running riot, although i'm not sure if thats all to do with this tactic, i tweaked some settings after reading some hints on another thread.

I'd defo recommend this tactic though. I'm sure it would work well with lesser teams too.

The only problem is it keeps the defence pretty tight and the fullbacks don't go forward much, which is a bit of a pain considering i just spent £30m on dani alves. I think i'll leave it a bit longer before tinkering with the system though.

I may even try this with the mighty Jambos, i can see this working wonders with a squad filled with 2nd rate lithuanians.

Not bein funny but is this some sort of sick joke, now i can't win a game again. This game does my nut in. I'll await the "it happens in real life" coming along to give me a row.

IMO - completely unrealistic. Won 6 games in a row, then just like that couldn't score a goal and playing absolute mince.

tried changing formations during a game etc, but basically it seems if the computer wants to beat you, it will. usually by cunjouring up some ridiculous own goal or defensive mistake.

Back to the drawing board.
