Ironically, Ajax Amsterdam is the team I support, but I got bored playing 7 seasons with her in game so I decided to take a shot with a low ranked team.
The team is FC Basel, and now I'm in the 3rd season, in 2008. I won the UEFA Cup last year, and now I've won the Champions Cup vs Arsenal (2-1 for me, I had to redo it 16 times to win... I would always get hammered with at least 4-0 or 5-0).
I'm now at the European Super Cup, but I can't get past Ajax. I mean, I've done some pretty good transfers (spent more than 35 million overall) but still, I can't beat them.
I play as a 4-3-1-2, but what should I do?
I tight mark Jo (pacey forward), close down Huntelaar, close down Ryan babel (AMC), and close down and tight mark the rest of the 3 midfielders (Mascherano, Bouba Diop and Bobby Convey). But still, they seem to get past my defenders and still score.
On one match, I had 2-1 after 50 minutes, but in like 10 mins, the score went 2-4 for them!!!
are they playing a narrow diamond against you then?
the only advice i can really give is to attack them down the flanks as theyre exposed there. if theyre playing quick, short passing then reduce your closing down. maybe push up the defence a bit to compress their play
