Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default How do I use my team's pace to good effect?

After being given a lot of money to spend with Aston Villa, I added Diomansy Kamara to my attacking options. I now have Luke Moore and Ashley Young up top, and Gabriel Agbonlahor and Kamara on the wings, is this a good idea and can anyone suggest the right instructions to use?

If you are wanting to utilize the pace of your side I would suggest that you have your team play quite deep, wide and tick Counter Attack. Also look to play a quicker tempo and possibly concentrate your play down both wings. You could also assign one of your strikers as a 'Target Man' and have your team look to aim their passes as 'Run Onto Ball' when playing away from home.

Have your midfield play lots of through balls. I would also have Agbonlahor and Young set to 'swap positions' in player instructions.
