This is the formation i want to play, with normal back 4, 2 defensive mids,1 normal midfield with forward arrow, and attackind mids left and right with arrows forward. and 1 striker. can somebody reccomend the best tactics... i prefer direct and quick tempo, but cant seen to make it work.... I need Help!
I don't use a direct passing game but perhaps I can help with some of the rest because I too play with a high tempo.
The first thing to do is to let me know what you can't make work. Is it that you are not scoring goals or that you are letting in too many? I suspect it is the former since you have two DMCs but it would help to clarify this.
Remember that playing direct requires a good target man or wingers that can find space easily. So, consider increasing the creative freedom of the wingers a little (perhaps 3-4 notches) over half way so that they can find the necessary space. Also, play the MC (with forward arrow) as AMC (with back arrow if necessary). If not, you'll find that the one striker has no one to play with and the ball will come right back to you and put you under pressure. If you do play a direct game, you are right to use the two DMCs but also make sure that they have limited forward runs and little creative freedom. They need to stay where they are if you are going to stop them from scoring. If anything, let the DL and DR support the attack instead and perhaps have the AMR and AML with side arrows to give the attacking full backs some space on the wings.
Let me know though about the aspect that isn't working and I'm sure we (especially some of the other real experts on here) can help.

Actually it was that i was conceeding to many really, and the direct passing was poor and i lost the ball straight away, perhaps because i didnt set target man...
