Default Financial problems with Newcastle United

Hey,
i'm in my 2nd season with Newcastle and ever since i started the club seem to build up substantial losses (1-3M) every single month??

In my first season i finished 4th and obviously got a decent payout for my final position so this can't really be a problem.

I'm also way under my wage budget which the board say they are delighted about so i am quite confused as to why my balance just slowly drains during each season??
Does anyone know of any solutions or simply why it is happening?
cheers

I would say operating costs exceed revenue! I'm not entirely sure, but I think wage structure is not based on revenue but based on keeping the company in profit and not debt. So, maybe you are experiencing losses, because your bank balance is greater than £0?

What's your monthly income and expenditure?

Unless I'm mistaken, Newcastle has a huge loan debt at the start of the game. One reason why I didn't pick them for my first game. Its either that or expenditures but I really doubt the latter since they also have a big stadium so it should be able to cover costs on an average month.

Better start getting into the Champions League to get the extra money. Also might want to get a marketing affiliate to increase merchandise sales.

Thanks for the hepl guys, Jason what exactly do you mean by a 'Marketing Affiliate'? i think you might mean getting a feeder club in China or something similar??

Pope - my monthly income last month was £8.8M
my monthly expenditure was £10.1M

im still slightly confused as to why i am recieving such losses as i play the game a fair bit with many teams and this is pretty much the first time i have been so in control of my finances (or so i thought!) and still receiveing losses!!

Any more help would be awesome. Thanks once again

It is a data issue. IRL Mike Ashley bought us and restructured a lot of the debt - this is not reflected in the game.

I have started to make a profit by selling Martins for 40Mill paid monthly for 2 years. By that time I should have a merchandise feeder

id say probs down to big debts or maybe paying for a player over long periods? or as i think someone said clubs run their strcutre so as to finish with positive bal;ance at end of season not necessarily making profit every month as you get big pay outs at end of each season this then slowly disappears through sesason.

also if u set a hgih tarket for example your wage budget will be higher than the initial balance can cope with cos u may have noticed with some smaller lcubs if u say u will win the league wen they obv wont the transfer budge is more than their bank balance based n the extra money being made by winning tournaments.

also look at players bonuses for appearances or goals etc, sometimes thts a BIG drain.

I looked on my game and Newcastle has a 100+ million dollar loan debt. So in addition to whatever expenses from salaries, bonuses, groundkeeping, you probably have a really high interest each month. In my Reading game I have a loan debt of about $30+ million and interest every month is $300,000 approx. So I would imagine for Newcastle its a lot more than this.

Get affiliates in China, US or Japan. If you do so, signing a player w/ a great reputation helps merchandise income. great.

Get a feeder club u mean?

Under the board, they mentioned we should not be looking for feeder clubs if im not wrong.

Can it be bypassed? If so, which country should i go for?
