i know this a dum question but really somebody please tell me how do i actually make transfers or offer contracts to any player around the world(who is not in my team)...i have been trying to offer some player contract but i just don't find that option. i am a beginner in Football Manager 2007... so somebody please kindly help me with this.

Ok, just select the player. When his profile comes up, look on the bottom left hand side. You should get plenty of different options like:

Get scout report, Add to shortlist, Player interaction. Over there, the FIRST one should be "Make an Offer". If the player is contracted to another team, you have to first get that team to allow you to offer the player a contract. So to do that, you'll need to offer the club money and if they find the offer acceptable, they'll let you offer the player a contract.

If the player doesnt have a contract or if his contract is ending within 6months, you should get an option as "Approach to sign". Here you can directly offer the player a contract without negotiating with his club. You might have to pay some compensation to the club though. That value will be on the bottom of the contract offer screen. :thup:
