- Wants to get into LLM but really cant for one reason or another
- Thinks they're a good LLM and fancies a proper challenge
- Thinks they know everything abut the game and wants a challenge
- Thinks their wonderful tactics and training regiemes will translate anywhere
- Or anyone who fancies a proper challenge
The nature of the challenege forces LLM ethincs because of the relative obscurity of the club and league. It took me about 3 to 3 1/2 hours of game time to finish the season (simply because there's no news in the league) and it can teach you alot about the game.
Start a new game in Norway, Yes Norway and find yourself norweigan 2nd Grp 1 Club Amot. Start the game in July 2006, database size and background leagues dont matter because as an obscure club of part timers u aint gonna be siging any foreigners! You will find when you start the game you are 12 games into the season bottom after 12 games and 5 points adrift.
The challenge is thus. There are 14 games left in the season. Save them from relegation. This is by no means easy so any one who reads this and says to themself easy is probably in denial and gonna get relegated.
Myself i have tried this and I found myslef relegated and fired. I am however looking for a new job in norways lower leagues to carry and build a side worthy of Norways 3rd tier!
i know, the whole point of the challenge is that it forces you to adopt an LLM ethic. I can almost guarentee it will turn you on your head! I know a lot of FM players and they all think they have some secret weapon or they're just good. and those 3 points cover those types of people, its a challenge to the ego maniac as well as anyone who fancies what from my experience is a pretty difficult challenge!
I was one of those 3 points infact probably all of them and the Amot challenge brought me back down to earth with a massive bump! Taught me a lot about the game though and i intend to use it in my 2nd season in norway!
I'm curious. How could this force you to adopt an LLM ethic?
LLM is not just about managing a lower team, and it seems to me that the types of people you are talking about, would be the types that would cheat anyway. ie, use player search, adopt other peoples tactics, take advice from others on what players to sign etc.
It forces it because unless you have an in depth knowledge of the lower leagues of norway you wont know who to sign! and anywone you player search as good defintley wont sign for you!
All the details are mostly blanked out and because everyone is so bad player search is useless in this league any stat over 10 is a bonus, it makes you think about the type of player to sign. You could try tipping but its almost certain the player in question wouldnt sign for you because Amot are rubbish!
There is very little between good players and bad players in this division and signing a "good player" and putting him your team if you are tactially inept he will easily turn bad!
There is to fine a line between good and bad so only finding out about a players attitude and preferences.
Take the challenge and after 3 games you'll see what i mean, dont dismiss it out of hand try it and then question it!
No I agree it should take a very long time, and when (and if) i find myself a new club i'll try and plod on.
Its a decent opportunity to quickly get into the thick of it.
I'll say it again, take the challenge and then judge! IF you survive then take Amot to bigger and better things, if not then find a new club! The game doesnt end after 14 games just the bit i'm on about!

I think you should go back and read the header again, (or possibly read it properly for a first time).
LLM isn't about where you play, it is about how you play.

This is irrelevant.

Ability is relative so this also is irrelevant.

And that differs from any other game how?
