I agree with this LLM regime. Been doing it for years, but needed a little guidance as to what you can and cannot do. Basically not blinking cheating.

Q. I understand that you cannot use the search screen, but would you be able to use the real life internet to search for players. Trawling through real life lower league websites would give you knowledge of players; who's been out for ages with injury and maybe , who's been on trial, who's banging them in, and the latest shot stopper.

With a little imagination and the WWW, you could have access to hundreds of players. Of course this would only apply to FM2006/07 actual season, but names would be still there.

So player A, at club B, who's been released due to a re-occuring knee injury, could be just what you are looking for. An Older Ex-pro at the heart of your defence. Just the job.

Any LLM manager worth his salt would have a look, wouldn't they ?

Well, i can see a manager looking at the internet...but would a manager sign a player on the strength of a few lines on the net? (yes ok I know there are examples of it but....)

Always scout..if you get information on a good player however you get it you will send out your scouts. And be realistic where you send your scouts, and the news you respond to...how likely is it that a con. north manager will get information about a 16yo on the south coast?

IMHO using the net is open to abuse...but it's your game if you feel it is realistic and your not using it to gain unfair advantage then it's up to you.

I don't and I don't think you should. I don't really think it is llm and just an excuse to find players when your scouts should be doing that.

I'm not so sure a manager would use the internet anyway, he'd probably leave that menial task for his scouts to do.
ie. Use your scouts

Let me explain.

FM = game.

Real life things (like internet, PFA lists, etc.) = real life.

LLM = game trying to be realistic (not real life).

FM + real life â‰* LLM

i.e. ne'er the twain shall meet.

It seems people can't distinguish a game from reality.

When SI simulate the www in the game, then and only then can managers IN THE GAME use it.

Can your manager in the game drink a real cup of tea or throw a real boot at one of his players?

You are not him. He is your IN GAME avatar and what you eat doesn't feed him, what you earn doesn't enrich him so by the same token things you know about footballers in our real world do not apply to the simulated in-game world. There is no web, there is no spoon. Capiche?

If you're still wibbly wobbly, Pete, you're searching the wrong bits of the web
