I'm finally going to buy the new game today \o/ and was wondering how it would run on my PC.

Just want to hear about other people's experiences. Have you found you can run more, less or about the same amount of leagues while keeping the same game speed as in FM06?

It's faster, so you can load a lot more countries.

I hate saying "leagues". Loading the English leagues, you have loaded 6 or 7 leagues, so I find the whole thing annoying.

I have found that I can load more leagues/countries than in 06 with the large database selected. The game is still running faster as well.

That's a relief, especially as my computer is the same one Noah had before he built the ark...

I get the impression that a significant chunk of the speed improvement is down to the smaller database.

I've retained a large number of players for my current game and although it's still quicker than an equivalent FM05 game, the speed has taken a hit.

Depending how you set the detail levels it's like comparing brodyband to dial up.
