Leagues Loaded, Fr, It & Hol)

First update post ever in this forum so I hope I've done things right and apologies if I miss things. Asked Frank to select me a team with a lovely yellow kit and he obliged by picking me Pau. So without futher ramblings by me here's my first 3 seasons.

Team: Pau
Season: 06/07
League: French National
Expectation: Relegation battlers
Transfers In: 6 (49k) Transfers Out: 0 (0k)
French Cup: 8th Round (Lost 1-2 to Brest)

If you're looking for a challenge then a team everyone expects to go down is the place to start. Frank picked Pau in the French National league as my challenge. A rather healthy budget of £60k was handed to me by the board to help in the fight against relegation. Bought in several players into the squad to bolster our chances of survival. However disciplinary problems and long-term injuries to key players made the job even harder. It all came down to the last game of the season, 2 points from the drop zone with a 12 goal advantage a draw would save me from the drop. A 0-0 encounter with Martigues ensured French National football for one more season.

Pos: 16th, Pld: 38, Won: 10, Drn: 10, Lst: 18, For: 34, Ag: 46, G.D: -12, Pts: 40

Team: Pau
Season: 07/08
League: French National
Expectation: Relegation Battlers
Transfers In: 3 (0k) Transfers Out: 4 (12k)
French Cup: 8th Round (Lost 3-0 to Dijon)

Another season destined, according to the pundits, for the drop. A few signings at the start of the season as well as a few leaving when the contracts expired I had to mould the new into the old. A season of draws and losses with scarcely few wins saw us, yet again, lie one place above to drop with the season drawing to a close. Two games to go and we're a mere 3 points ahead with an inferior goal difference so this time we'd have to do more than just draw our games; we need to win them! Not all goes to plan so here we are, last game of the season 2 points from the drop.. familiar isn't it?! Anyway, a point could get us safety but a win is what is required. 5th place Libourne is our final opponents and the odds are stacked against us. This time however, it was not to be, Libourne ran out deserved winners the 2-0 score-line flattering our appalling display and so, relegation.

Pos: 17th, Pld: 38, Won: 9, Drn: 10, Lst: 19, For: 30, Ag: 51, G.D: -21, Pts: 37

My points total last season would have seen us stay up it's just a shame we couldn't replicate our form in front of goal from last season.

Team: Pau
Season: 08/09
League: French CFA - C
Expectation: Unknown (Literally!)
Transfers In: 0 (0k) Transfers Out: 10 (0k)
French Cup: N/A

A few games in and it seems this league is even harder then the last with the reserve sides fielding squads far superior to my relegation weakened team. So I decide to look for a job elsewhere whilst continuing as Pau manager. With applications sent out my non-existant board ask for my head or face being sacked. I decided to resign as it was time to leave. And so to my next challenge at..

Team: Cervia
Season: 08/09
League: Italian Serie C2/C
Expectation: 16th
Transfers In: 5 (0k) Transfers Out: 0 (0k)
Serie C Cup: 4th in Group E (Out before I joined)

New club new challenge, and, as usual the likelihood of a constant threat of relegation. Had to get in a Assistant Manager, Coach, Youth Coach, Goalkeeping Coach and a Fitness Coach as the backroom staff were lacking somewhat. There was also only grey reserve/Under 20 players so hopefully an influx of youth players may just be round the corner. Got the backroom sorted aside from the Fitness Coach and so onwards and (hopefully) upwards. Takeover rumors start as we are currently mid-table and, to all accounts, over-achieving. During the season I reached my 100th game in management.. which was nice. One take over bid failed during the season not that it bothered me either way. Another season and another final day battle to stave off relegation. Fellow battlers Castel San Pietro were the opponents of the day and, in the end, we lost 1-0 but somehow we finished 13th one place above the drop.

I think it's only playable if you get relegated into it. I too thought it wasn't playable and was waiting the inevitable sack.

So, in order to start playing in CFA, we holiday for nearly a year and take over one of the relegated teams just before the end of season. Thus we get to start in the CFA.

It must be playable from start then. I don't thinkSI would program in a playable league, but you could only play it if you were relegated into it.
