2. No. Only the fact that you are in a position to offer them (and can afford them more importantly) might be an indicator that the club might go full-time too.
3. Yes. Many part-time clubs have one or two professional full-timers on their books.
4. What you said (although super-fantastic they needn't necessarily be - as long as it's over the wage you're offering...) - or they might be at university or something.

Part-Time clubs - offering full-time contracts Post #3
1. Yes, but I will not offer someone a full time contract for less than 200 quid a week. As far as I know it does nothing except set the player up with a full time training schedule.
2. No idea.
3. No idea.

Part-Time clubs - offering full-time contracts Post #4
I would imagine that a part-time club would, say come in for training 2 nights a week, so yes the coaches would come in at the same time but on a part-time basis.
I reckon its a fair point from ryu, might explain why my current team is doing so badly!

Does anyone ever do this? Does it actually make any difference? Yes. Yes, they train more.
Does it make it more likely that your club will turn full-time? I think so.
Is it realistic to offer full-time contracts at a part time club? Yes, if the board is happy.
Why would a player respond with 'would prefer a part-time contract' ? Unless they had a super-fantastic normal job I guess.
IRL East Stirling players are on £10 per week part-time. Upping their wages to full-time would still be pretty modest. Any bog-standard civvy job would pay better - heck, even the bargirls down my way would hesitate.
