I think fosters serves a purpose. It's weak 4% so it's good when you're at the cricket or on some other all day session. If you drank stella all day you'd be a mess. If there's a better choice of cooking larger like Amstel or some other 4.0-4.2% large I'll drink that instead. If it's just a social fews pints then it real beer all the way.
