Default Self-Cleansing in Sweden

Hi there , I'm new to posting here , and would like to tell you my story. I used to play as clubs with some money for me to play around with , or a decent team to start with. When '07 came out , I , like many others found it hard , so I came onto these forums for tips , and found LLM. (I never looked at the tips forum , promise ) I read a few of the stories and the rules and thought I'd have a go at playing in a 'Purer' way. This was my first attempt at LLM.

Frank chose me Motala AIF FK of the Swedish Second Division Middle Gotaland.

Season 1 , 2006
I arrived at my new team, and found alot of deadwood and a Chairman giving me a transfer budget of £0, and a wage budget of £2,200. A bit different to what I was used to , but I wanted a new challenge. My assman advised I was short up front , so out my scout went. I signed one new 36 year old SC, none of the others really impressed. A few signings and friendlys later the season was upon me.
The season was exactly what I was expecting , a struggle , and I Loved It!!

Finished: 8th/12, with the board satisfied.

The 36 year old was my top scorer with 14.

Season 2 , 2007
With the sale of my up and coming DM for £3,000 I had a little cash to play with this time. The board were expecting me to contend this season, so I set about determining my weakest area. It seemed I desperately needed a new AML, so I sent out the scout. He came back with a 18 year old Norweigen who showed some promise during his trial, so I offered £2,000. He then joined, but alas, in his first game he receives a 4 month injury. I start the season good-AML-less. A few freebies and a £1000 SC help my promotion push , and I come top with a last game 1-0 victory over rivals Tibro. Promotion

Finished: 1st/12 , the board delighted with me.

Top scorer was the now 37 year old , with 17.

[b]3rd season , 2008[(B]
I now found myself with a Nosebleed in the dizzy heights of the First Division, expected to battle bravely against relegation. My strikers were doing OK , so I concentrated plugging the gaps in my defence. With no-one of any value leaving , it had to be freebies again. Three youngsters my scout found had succesful trials , and with us beating new rivals Boden and Visby Gute in friendlies, I was quite optimistic. How naïve. With now 38 year old striker opting to retire and become a coach just before the 3rd game of the season, I was left lightweight upfront. The scout found me a promising Finnish youngster who was avaliable on a free , and I signed him, and Fantastic! he scores a brace in his first game , before , predictably , fracturing his skull. With only one decent striker , and with the finances looking quite scary , I decided to make due with what I had. I finish the season in 13th place and its back to the Swedish Second Division Middle Gotaland for me.

Finished: 13th/14 , but the fans said they liked my positive tactics , and I was not fired.

Top scorer was the £1,000 guy from earlier with 12.

This is not the last time I'll update , but I just wanted to say thanks to whoever came up with this idea of LLMing. The rules make it so much more dificult , frustrating , but ultimately rewarding. Winning that promotion on the last day of the season was the most satisfying time I've had in FM, and I also have to say , playing LMM , I feel , has cleansed me
Hope you enjoyed my update. Any feedback is welcome, Cheers.

It reveals your true LLM nature, that's all.

I'd argue that no one "came up" with LLM, it's just the most natural way to play the game. And guidelines...not rules.

Enjoy and welcome.

Welcome Poshfan! KUTGW!

I too am LLaMaing in Sweden, and TBH I think that its the best league in the world - well - that I've managed in. I find it more fun than in England and everywhere else... Dunno why.
