oh i'm terribly sorry if expressing my opinion on a clubs name is so morally offensive to you, I simply can't be enthusiastic about a club named after a car factory, the way your reacting I'd swear you'd named the club yourself.

And as I'm not asking who has the most money, fans, players, bread rolls or what have you just a simple general enquiry to see if anything takes my fancy. If that indeed is against the rules then this is the most silly forum I'm ever read. I was under the impression this was a forum for people playing the game as is with no tipping, silly super tactics etc using the minnows of football.

As for throwing it back in your face, errr did I use a string of four letter words that I forgot about?? no i simply said said i disliked that clubs name nor did I insult you. perhaps you would like to look up the word manners in the dictionary.

I appreciate that you want to identify with the club you choose. Fair play.

I played Lanzarote last season and the identifiability grew as the seasons past.

Yes i did realise before posting that it probably gets asked a lot; its not like I couldnt research clubs myself but hey I thought a discussion of obscure clubs in the northwest might be interesting; silly me.

I'll go get a few ideas from frank and see if any grab me.

Actually, i find it hard to identify with any club in the UK in FM as they are all too familiar. (apart from the glorious West Ham of course)

I normally pick foreign leagues in my save and then just pick the team with the best sounding name/least expectations/facilities etc,and hope for the best, whether or not i end up with an attatchment to the club or not depends on loads of things, but i think that if i joined a club with the express intent of forming an attatchment that might work against me.

Also i find that if you are at a team you know less about you can fill in the gaps as you like, and that may make them more suitable to your needs.

Anyways, i cant quite articulate whatever im saying properly, so im off to bed. Have fun with whoever you pick.
