I've had no problems with injuries, excess red cards (or yellow), aquaplaning, ridiculous games, or anything... it's all been rather fine, post patch, actually...
Except the scouts recommended list. I'm at little Airbus UK, in Wales. His list went from 0 after 24 days scouting to 397 after 47... (He's an English scout with little knowledge of Wales, and although told he could only scout Wales, popped over to Poofland anyway and found me a couple of hundred from there... )
Are we sure it's a bug? Filtering my list for transfer listed or out-of-contract players, there's a fair few, all around, or not much above, my level.
I Didn't see any superstars/kids in his entire list come to that (and we are crap, so there would be lots of players better than us). Is it possible that SI have actually made a fist of actually programming in an analogy of the transfer lists and other such information into the scout's 'knowledge base' and this is why they come up with such a large list so quickly? I notice there's almost no 'scouting' information on that report, so further scouting needs to be done before stats are uncovered or there's an actual scout report available...
Or am I just suspending my disbelief too far?

If there is virtually no scouting report, I'd say there's something wrong. Nobody unearths hundreds of players in a one month period.
To relate it to scouting in ice hockey over here, a team will employ a scout, and he will look at youth players at weekend tournaments. Tournaments average eight teams, I would say. The scout would not pick out all 130 players playing at that tournament as potentials. Maybe only a few. This is after 16 hour days at the rink. No travelling from game to game, it's all right there.
No scout is going to watch more than a couple matches in a weekend with the way league schedules are set up in the UK, and if he is even watching five, which I think is generous, he's going to pick out two, maybe three players max out of any given match. There are obviously exceptions, but even if it's 20 players in a week, that doesn't add up to 300 over 25-35 days.

That's what I mean - and as there is no in-depth report, what I'm suggesting is perhaps that large raw 'list' is just an overview culled from his entire knowledge base - none have been watched yet - but it's taken him 47 days (or whatever) to compile that basic list, which you then refine further based on your needs at any particular time and then send him to watch matches of the players you select from his 'overview'...
Perhaps it's just me trying to see this 'bug' as not a bug, and inventing ways in which this might be the case, but it kind of makes sense - it might only take a month or so to compile a large list of 'possibles', based simply on a scout's knowledge network (whether word of mouth, internet searches, transfer lists or whatever other methods scouts might use to compile such a list).

Could be, Keith, but even so it's an amazingly big number of players.

Valid. It would be nice to see an official SI response to Liam's thread in the bugs forum so we know... and let's hope they don't read my post first and go "Yeah, that's it - we programmed it that way" |

Has anyone had a problem with excessive own goals?
Ive had 4 in the last two games in my favour and 7 so far from 15 games. (all to my benefit)
Not complaining of course. Maybe its just coincidence.

Nah, that's giving them way over the benefit of the doubt, Keith.
A scout list of 1400 players? Utterly pointless.
A scout who came to my office with a scoutlist of 1400 names and no actual recommendations would find the door with my boot up his arse |

Has the same problem in my Primasens game. Both scouts have found 200+ pleyers.
Fastbasher - I have played four competitive games so far and have had three own goals, two for and one against.
Another problem which I think may be specific to playing in Germany is the number of loan players being offered with the same players being offered over and over again, even after you have rejected them or they have refused to come to your club. I have just got to transfer deadline day and I face having to reply to 20 or so offers. I'm giving this game up and going elsewhere as I guess the same thing will happen in January. It makes the game very tedious.
