Following yet another ludicrous spate of injuries I caved in and installed the updated patch in spite of the coaching problems. Within 3 or 4 in-game days I had 2 players go 'unhappy' with their contracts and make stupid demands. My striker (currently on £325/wk after relegation reduction) now wants £1500/wk of my £7.5k budget and ludicrous bonuses. I've put them off to the end of the season for now in the hope that SI sort it out (this has already been reported by others in the Bugs forum) in time. If not I could lose my 7 season save.
I'd steer clear of this patch version if I were you.
FWIW, I haven't experienced this with my Conf Nat side, except for when trying to renew the contract of a player who has more than 2 years left to run, and even then they generally accept whatever raise they can get. Just my experience, and thought maybe it would help, as for me the patch has made the game much better.
Now I've remembered to turn the "show recent effects of training" back on (the patch had turned it off) about half the skill attributes are going vertically up and absolutely everything else going vertically down. This is the same for all players, regardless of what schedule they're on. This patch is bulls**t!!

Again, nothing like this has happened to me. You are one unlucky SOB my friend.
Strange one. I've heard several people describing problems with contracts, etc., but I've had no such problems with East Stirling in Division 3, the players want to renew for what I think's fairly reasonable wages, £60p/w, part time...a considerable hike from their £10, granted, but reasonable.
i'm with harrogate and I have found this as well. however...they do settle for a reasonable amount in the end but you just have to haggle. just like real life i suppose with agents e.t.c. and it's not with all players either just a few who want a large amount (influenced by agents no doubt) but i have found they are fair and settle for a decent figure. do not panic!!!
