I think that a shot that hits the post or bar doesn't show up in the match stats at all, either as an on or off target shot.

Have you noticed this, or am I imagining it?

A shot which hits a post/bar should show up as off-target, I'll double check this shortly.

It might be when a lot of play (eg commentary) happens when the shot rebounds into play. That's what happened when I noticed it last night.
