Have I missed something? I’ve been out of the UK for over 2 years, so forgive my ignorance. When I left, football was played on grass (i.e green). Teams had kits that were mainly primary colours, plus white and black. FM2007 reflected that and had a good, authentic feel to it.
I just had FM2008 delivered. What has happened? Do Arsenal now play in pink? Have Celtic swapped their green hoops for a more delicate lime green? And who plays in soft lilac? Is it Man U? Oh, it’s so confusing.
I may wake up soon and then I’ll know I’ve just had a bad dream. But, in case it’s all real, can SI tell me who cobbled together (sorry, the word designed is a bit strong) the main menu. Is it the designer of my Sim ToyTown?
I really want to get into 2008, but I can’t get over the um …feel of the game. It’s not just wrong, it’s worse. It’s grotesque in a pretty pastel way. Who is this game aimed at? Is it me? If so, why isn’t there a hazard warning on the box about pastel colours? Where does it say you need a sick bag?
Is there a patch coming out soon? Can it be made to look like 2007? Then I may play it. Until then, it stays in it’s box because I can’t take it seriously, even though it might be a good game.
There has been complaints regarding the brightness and amount of "whiteness" in the game.
As for Man U Kit being lilac, Arsenal in pink etc.. I have not had that problem and haven't really seen anyone else mention it. I would suggest it is more of a problem with your monitor settings. If you really don't like the default skin and graphics then I suggest you visit the Graphics and Skinning Forum and look for something to improve the situation.

could happen. under special conditions, a certain type algea could impact the colour of grass.
of course, that would require strong wind blowing in from the north sea, mixed with CO2 released from oil rigs and a small percentage of shetland pony faeces.
