I've played CM/FM since 97/98, and NEVER have I had so difficult winning matches. First i tried a game with Arsenal. Tried standard 4-4-2s that worked genious on FM07. Totally useless, and I won like two games before i got fired.

Now i play with Blackburn, also using totally standard 4-4-2s here. My PL-record after 13 matches: 0-4-9.

It's totally ridicilous that a almost standard 4-4-2 won't work at all.

There's something wrong with what you are doing. I tend to use cookie-cutter tactics and player instructions and do much better than that! There's nothing wrong with the formation itself, the fault lies somewhere else.

After 14 matches without a win, we beat Reading 5-0 at Madejski Stadium.

This difficult? I play a 4-2-3-1 and I owned Chelsea, Manchester and Arsenal with Ajax Amsterdam. I tried to get past Chelsea in FM07 20 times, I won once. in FM 08, 3 times, won once.

It's very silly.
