So I'm playing as Torhout, and won the Belgian 3A in the first season so we got promoted to Division 2.
During this season our 2000 capacity stadium was upgraded to all seated so we played most of our games at a neighbouring stadium where we averaged crowds of about 3000. Obviously when our stadium was upgraded we moved back there and our crowd averages went down.
That season we qualified for the promotional playoffs and would have won promotion to First Division if we had've won the very last game (we lost).
Now here's the problem...
That off-season the board announced that they were building a 9500 capacity stadium that would cost 20.5 million pounds, which would be offset by the 1 or 2 million they would receive for selling the old stadium.
So they borrowed the whole 20.5 million. This depsite the club only being worth 800 000 pounds at the time.
Loan repayments are 240 000 pounds a month for 15 years.
Our income is about 50 000 - 60 000 pounds a month.
So we are currently hemorrhaging money and our financial situation is plummeting, through no fault of my own.
Selling players won't change anything - our highest valued player is only worth 16 000 pounds - and we're well below our wage limit.
Thing is, where before the board would constantly praise me for the club's healthy bank balance, now they're telling me they're dismayed at the club's financial state and that I should address this "immediately".
It'll suck if I get the sack for this. I've pumped hours into this club.
So... is this a bug or what? Am I gonna get the arse?

I had a similar problem in the belgium lower divisions. When I was in Belgium division 3A my clubs finances were going into deep debt and that was despite not spending any money on transfers an only using half my wage budget. So how can the board give me such a high wage budget when we cant even sustain half of it? Anyway we won 3A and we went up to division 2 and despite being in debt the board decides to upgrade the stadium and put us into more debt. I had to sell my star player cheap so we dont go to far into debt. Anyway I only used a 3rd of my wage budget and still made the play offs and now our finances are fixed but I still think the board are to stupid to manage the clubs finances. The main factors for my finances getting fixed were me not using the wage budget and selling players and also a few friendlies against the big teams.

Finances in the lower leagues is indeed a bit weird and it has affected my game too. I haven't played my save game for about a week now because my chairman has sold my star players and I cannot continue playing like this.
I resigned and went on holiday for a bit and haven't touched it since.
I would suggest resigning as I hate being sacked after putting so many hours into the club, always trying to improve it, yet you end up back in square one.
Hopefully you'll find a better club to manage.
