OK. 1st game of the season and I have a really crap team. Even my Ass Man gives 9 of my 1st teamers only a 1 star rating!
Anyways. I decide to play ultra defensive, since the team are so crap and the opposition are favorites to win the game.
To my astonishment, what happens? We trounce them 5-1 :eek: With my 2 stikers bagging the goals. Infact one of them nets his 1st ever hatrick for the club on his debut!
How did the match engine come to that result? Even though I was playing ultra defensive?!?! Am I missing some fundamental footballing law or something? lol
Not that I'm complaining. It makes a change to get a nice surprise rather than grumping at the games annoying flaws.
Strange thing is. My previous Ass Man give most of my 1st teamers 3 stars. With my best player getting 4 stars.
I sacked him because his motivation and man management were 1. His judging player ability/potential were 2 and 3 respectively.
My new Ass Man has 6 for motivation and 10 for man management. as well as 7 and 8 for JPA and JPP.
Where half of my 1st teamers were "decent players", and my best player a "good player" to my previous Ass Man. The coach reports from my new one say that I should look to offload my whole team!
Your assistant was clearly using reverse psycology. He knew you would play attacking football if he told you the team was good and he knew this would fail. So he tells you the team is crap and you end up playing the tactics the team should be playing

I can see your point, but why the big difference in star ratings between the 2 Ass Mans? Was the 1st just telling me porkies about how good my team were and hoping I did'nt notice? Or is the 2nd Ass Man just a better judge of player?. He does have higher JPA JPP stats then the 1st one did.
