O.k I knwo this can all be attributed to coincidence but.... I´m Managing Atletico we are on our second season ( we finished second the first season) I´m leading the league with 2 games to go, one point behind is Real Madrid, Barcelona is also 1 point behind but with 3 games to go, Valencia is 6 points behind but with an amazing 5 games to go.

I win both of my games, Real Madrid, Barcerlona and Valencia all draw 1-1 on their remaining games (one of the games was Valencia vs. Real Madrid but all the other were against weaker teams)so I´m champion now but I feel like if the AI was a sentient being consciously trying to help me win

How were Valencia left with 5 games to go I thought this problem was sorted out for FM08?

Well your the only one. Usually when I find I have a tight run in to the end of the season the AI picks up against you. For example I needed only a draw to be gaurenteed the title out of two games against allready relegated opposition. Derby had not won a game all season but low and behold they defeat me 4 - 1 at the Emirates. They only scored 12 goals before that game but suddenly managed to score 4 against my defence who were all 100% fully fit and had only conceeded 18 goals all season. Then I had to play Sunderland away. Their first two shots went flying in, scored by players who's stats were not good enough for my under 18's reserve, reserve team. Although I went on to win the game easily its a little unlikely that they could put performances like that in even against a team who were under pressure.

Alas the memoirs of 07 have come back to haunt me.


3 games to go in the prem, 2 away after 1 at home. Lost them all! All midtable teams. Had I picked up 1 point I would have been Champions league, instead, 5th and sacked start of following season after poor start.
