Default Logos Help, please explain clearly!

How do you put logos into the game, i've read...

'Custom content should now be placed in the user data folder, which is normally "Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\". You can usually get to this location quicker by going through "My Documents". I would recommend creating a "logos" subdirectory and ensure that all logopacks are installed in their own unique directory structure such as "logos/english championship" for example'

then there is untick cache in the options and tick reload skin but nothing is working.

Can someone please help me as lots of people are having the same problem and nobody is giving a clear enough example on how to do it.

I have the ratpack glossy logos by the way.

ALL user added content should now be put into the User Data folder, by default this is located at:

\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\

(Or whereever you have moved the User Data folder to if you have moved it).

You'll then need to create some subfolders (if the content you downloaded doesn't it for you), first create a graphics folder inside the above folder. Then create a pictures folder inside the graphics folder, next create a logos folder inside the pictures folder for your logos (or kits or faces for kit and faces, for anything else follow the structure from the CProgram Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\ folders, but install the content into the My Documents folders).

Now you have your logos folder, unzip/extract the logos you have downloaded and transfer the folders into the logos folder. (As long as the logos are inside the logos folder it doesn't matter what their folders are called - just generally organise so you can find stuff).

Also make sure you transfer over the config files with the graphics, the game needs the config.xml files to display the logos. (You can delete any previews, thumb.db or readme files if you don't want them).

Now when you load up the game you need to go to the Preferences -> Display and sound menu and untick use skin cache and tick the 'Always reload skin on confirm' option.

Now click on confirm/OK, you should get a dialog box telling you that the game is reloading the graphics, wait a while and once it has finished your logos should be working.

If the logos are showing and you are not adding any more graphics then you can turn the skin cache back on and untick always reload skin on confirm.

thanks for your help, i have made the folders like you said but it still isn't working.

I have two patches i'm trying to install, logos and faces.

i have done what you asked, my documents, sports interactive, football manager 2007, graphics, pictures, face, premiership and the premiership folder has all the faces inside. this works fine!

however, the logos still don't work following the same process.

my documents, sports interactive, football manager 2007, pictures, logos and the pictures are inside the logos folder. but this doesn't work? not sure what i'm doing wrong.

Have you selected 'show logos/badges' in the preferences screen?

Do the logos have a correct config with them?

Does anyone else using the pack you downloaded have any problems.

If none of that helps try deleting the cache files, the location of the cache folder varies depending upon your OS:

Quote:

Win 2K/XP: CDocuments and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\Cache\

Win 98/ME: CWindows\Application Data\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2007\Cache\

Mac OS X : /Users/<username/Library/Caches/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007/Cache/
Then delete the contents of the cache folder.

I'm having a similar issue, I'll try and explain it.

I installd the Premiership logos, and they work fine... on the club screens. But they don't show up next to the teams' names on the league table screen, etc... any ideas?

Some packs only have the one size, the ones on the clubs screens. Have a look in the packs folder and see if they contain "huge" "normal" and "small" folders.

If not, thats your problem. Either download another logo pack or try and ignore it.

PS. I don't know him, but I'm sure michaeltmurrayuk would be to modest to suggest his own logos. They have the 5 different logo types for club sides and match the default style thats in the game:
