With FMM you can't edit the club a player plays for. There are ways around that but you will have to buy him. Alter his preferences: favourite club to Celtic, favoured staff - you etc. You could make him hate the team and manager he plays for too, transfer list him at his own request and so on. Be aware though that sometimes the options aren't available unless he already has preferences to alter! But you can praise the player in the media a few times that should then list you as a favourite at 5, edit this to 100 and you should be on your way to getting your man.

I started a new game and added his future transfer to Celtic into the game, I'm playing as Hibernian Manager at the moment and he can't even get a game for Celtic...he's played maybe 3 games all season...

Do this and then alter his contract end date to tomorrow, then wait a day and offer him a contract
