Hi, could somebody give me some tips on how to preserve players above 30 to help stop their CA dropping?

Nothing you can do really, th stats and CA decline naturally.

but will an older player who's a key player decline slower than one who's back up?

if theyre playing regularly i suppose they'd decline slower, with keeping fit and all that. just give them a few more rests throughout the season, and make sure their game isnt based on pace within the team

thats all i can think of really. i dont tend to keep old players

Maybe, but I think it varies player to player and there is no exact answer.

I'm not sure thats how it works though, as you might be over playing them for their age. I think its like youth players, if you play them too much early on in there careers they burn out and dont develop right. I'm gussing its same with old players too.
