Good idea about the repository. Won't stop the 'Need a tactic for Xyz FC'-threads though, but it gives you a good reason to close them. :thup:

A thread for training schemes sounds good...at least until the number crunchers have done their work and come up with the ultimate scheme that 90% of us will use.

What I'd like to see is that this forum would take a little step closer to LLM, in keeping player naming to a minimum. Instead of naming players, we should start talking about player types. All the "cheat" players in the previous releases has been made known to me in here.

...oh, yeah. We need a forum header in big bold letters that says "THERE ARE NO CHEAT TACTICS, SO SHUT THE F*** UP!!"

So when we make a thread can we still add our tactic in there for download aswell?

It will be good to see another mod around the place (no offence) cause at times you need a bit of help in all respect. Does Goldy make tactics? As i feel a mod who is into that part of the game would be more beneficial to this forum.

What Erlando said basically. It would be an idea to index the FTP/download site too so as to make searching for that elusive God-like tactic easier.

I don't see the player naming thing so much a big deal and individual players threads are closed and directed to GPG as well as the I need a "player for tactic" threads. As for the cheat lines, will not penalize someone bringing it up within a tactic discussion but will not let it dominate conversation and will have a short leash on cheat type threads as well.

Cleon, yeah, you can still include link for tactic for download. I'm talking about if that tactic becomes popular or if you think it merits to be added to the central repository. BTW, don't just submit every tactic you have

I got a complaint about GPG though, i know this isnt the place but i didnt wanna start a new topic in GPG. All the stickies will ruin the forum, why have topics for each player as people will post them in there and not the forum, all forums that do that die off afte ra while

I do some designing but nothing worth talking about (i.e. successful) Not sure how deep Goldy is into it

The stickies in GPG won't remain long. It's to stop the 100's of repeat threads that will be opened with the expected influx of new users. They aren't permanent and won't stop the individual player threads
