Yeah just came back from the toon game.
Cannot believe we did not win, yet again. You'd think one game of missing loads of chances and paying for it is a bit of a fluke (Fulham), but it's happening again and again, how long can it go on for I ask?!

I watched it on Sky, and i see Bramble is stilla s reliable as ever . Taylor didnt look too bad at all, seen him play a few youth tournaments and that and he looked good, but today he did ok. Dyer was decent aswell and actually looked like he could do something today.

Bramble has and always will be a 'all or nothing' player, when it works he looks awesome, then he gets cocky and thinks he can win everything. Got to say though I'd still have him over O'Brien because at least Bramble has a physical presence, pace and power he's just a little unpredictable
Taylor had a good game considering he was played out of position, very good in fact as it was his first game of the season I think.
Dyer didn't do badly either I agree, he's been told by Souness he has until January so I hear to prove his worth, I find it interesting we didn't hear any moaning about playing right wing today
Robert was a complete waste of space, he's so damn infuriating! Wonder goal one minute **** the other 89 |

He will be quiet all game and do one piece of magic . He is a bit too moody for my liking, he is another all or nothing player. Kluivert looks good and sharp though, never knew he could move as good as he does for a big lad

I was at the match too...
Kieron Dyer hid during the first half and didn't come out of his shell until well into the second - I think he cr@ps himself at St James' nowadays.
Kluivert is class - won all his headers, did something with them, and was the biggest problem for Everton's defence for most of the game, until Bellamy started going hammer and tongs towards the end. The partnership between him and Bellamy is sooo well balanced...
Robert arrived amidst a huge fanfare about his pace - so why does he never beat his man? If he has no space to cross or shoot, he ALWAYS cuts inside and passes to a central midfielder or Bernard, which takes all of the momentum out of our attacks. He should be used up front as a deputy for Bellamy, or in a 433 in my book, having done that job very effectively at his last club. Frustrating. On the left wing, we could do with a more traditional winger. Downing would be nice.
Bramble was good, Taylor was superb, though I got a bit scared watching Bramble warm up. They had him on his own doing some clearances and a bit of passing, and he was shocking. He has a knack of looking disinterested and confused.
They were unlucky not to cream Everton in my book. Good all-round display, more incisive than usual.
