Clearly there is a problem with FM, the numbers can not lie. 35% of folks already witness a problem with the game. This is an extremely HUGE number regardless of what side of the fence you are on,
And that percentage is an accurate sample?

If the likes of MV doesn't bother or respond, what makes you think that posting in such threads will get them to suddenly sit up and do something about this crocked game?
He has appeared in some of the threads here and has answered some queries and has also suggested contacting him with more information. Its not as if he's gone into some cave....everyone is now testing FM2008 so people are busy.

Of course it is. The law of probability suggests so. The people on this forum make up a mere slice of the folks that play this game, so I can confidently say that the number of people dissatisfied with the game is absolutely huge. Far too many to keep on making 'tactical' excuses. There's something wrong with this game, it's so evident. Sad but evident.

Busy? When 1/3 of their consumers are having problems with what they bought? Brilliant service, SI-style.

No. People who have problems with the game tend to visit the forums. Those that have problems would tend to think the game cheats. Therefore it's not an accurate sample of FM players, just an accurate sample of the vocal ones who come on the forums.

Doubly important, those who thinks the game cheats will rush to this thread, whereas those that think the game doesn't cheat are less inclined to on the basis that they will probably do this ->

Those who don't like something are statiscally and sociologically far more likely to make a noise about it, those that are content tend to say nothing.

The fact that more people are satisfied than not speaks volumes to me. The traditionally silent crowd still greatly outnumber the traditionally vocal crowd.

If we took internet polls as a guide, Tony Blair would have been absolutely raped at the last election, yet he still beat the Tories in the popular vote (and in the first-past-the-post system).

And for the 100th time it is possible to think that the game is flawed but not as flawed as you guys are making out - and it is possible to find tactical problems and solutions in order to stop this "cheating" happening.

so what insight can you give me for the fact that my goalie will kick the ball upfield when i set specific instructions for him not to?

surely just simply setting distribution to defender collect would be enough?

even if its not ive said above what else i do yet my goalie WILL kick the ball upfield and it may (and usually does!) only happen once, but when that once results in a goal can you not understand the frustration? WHAT MORE CAN I DO??

and you cant argue that it may be happening more its just that i only see that highlight, because its an even more damning insight into the game if it is!

Totally agree. Goalkeeper distribution in this game is rubbish. However, I wouldn't say that I give away so many goals from the GK's poor distribution that it's a major problem.

This is something that really needs to be fixed. I don't see it in my games losing me a lot of points though. The most annoying thing is that it makes it difficult to start attacks and it means that your GK very rarely gets a 7.00+ average over the season.

So, I understand the frustration - it's very frustrating. But in the grand scheme of things it doesn't lose you titles or gets you relegated. At least, it doesn't in my games.

Again Millie our opinion differs.

First of all, this is an official SI forum, so would first of all guess that a large number of posters are "fanboys"?.

Dont you yourself have this site listed in your "favourites", along with other sites that carry a theme that you are a "fan" of, be it your favourite football team, favourite band and other games etc?.

I joined the site as a fan of the game, now that is no longer the case because of what the game has become.

There have been many studies carried out, where it would suggest that only a small % of people will actually complain on a vocal level, whether it be about a cold meal served at a restaurant, right through to the other end of the spectrum where somebodys life may be in danger?.

These people simply dont want to create a fuss, so if it looks like only a small % of people on here are being vocal when complaining about the game, you can bet your bottom dollar that the actual number dissatisfied will be much higher!.
