Am in my 2nd season with chelsea and in the 1st season i won the league the FA cup and the Carling cup but in my 2nd season ave played 20 games and i have only won 2 away games. I have only won 9 games and i have drawn 8 i dont know what's went wrong even in the 1st season a didnt play that well away from home.

Does anybody know what i could change a play a 4-4-2 and a dont really give the players instructions a jus make the midfielders play through balls always.

Well the first place you went wrong was picking chelsea but moving on from that, how many ins and outs did you have. Too many new players disrupts the team for a while until they settle.
As for formation, try to make sure your players suit it. Don't play too many people out of position and retrain if you have to, especially if you did bring in some new 'talent'. Also think about playing counter-attacking, I do home and away and gets you goals if you have a couple of good passers and some pace. Also choose your best set pieces people to get some easy goals, might help turn those draws into wins.
Again depending on your players, get them to make runs down the lines or into box. Adapt your 4-4-2 to have a holding played or an attacking player in the middle. Also sometimes helps to drop one striker off so its a 4-4-1-1. You could even try a couple of easy mid-week friendlies to give them some confidence and tinker with your formation.

Its called re-ranking mate and it is rubbish.

Basically you have won the league therefore everyone else has now sat up and taken notice. They will all now play ultra defensive against you therefore lesser defenders who you ran rings round in Season 1 have now become superhuman over the summer break and are able to mark your strikers out of the game like wise the midfielders rendering your tactics useless and players attributes worthless as you sit back and watch your worldclass strikers (assumed as you are Chelsea) with high stats for dribbling, pace, finishing, composure getting outran, outjumped or heaven forbid if they get through on goal they will be met by the presence of a superhuman goalkeeper who will repel everything you can throw at him and he will never fatigue from throwing himself all over the place and will finish the game as fresh as he started.

God I am gagging for a pint after writing that little rant......might pop out for a pint of BITTER!!!!!!!

Not true, re ranking doesn't effect people as much as everyone makes out. Re ranking or some sort if programmed into the game, however SI have stated a number of times that it doesn;t stop you playing your normal game and works on a much smaller scale than everyone thinks. Re ranking is too strong a word and gives off the wrong impression.

and just to add to what Cleon said reranking happens during the season too so he would have experienced that during his first season anyway.

People blaming reranking = copout.

As was said above buying to many players too soon would be one explanation.

Also, surely the re-ranking system is nothing but what would happen in eral life?

If I get Norwich promoted, say, and use a master tactic which catches all the Prem sides by surprise, they wouldn't continue to be surprised wouldthey?

Perhaps for a few months, thinking we have got lucky, but halfway through the season (not to mention the NEXT season) I think all of the other sides would have figured out how my tactic works nd play to minimise it's affect.

Isn't that what happens IRL?
