although i never like it i have already accepted that my team would play much worse in most away games, in which one of the things that always happen is home team midfielder heading back all the long kick from away team goalkeeper and resulting in lost of possession.
what i want to ask is, that besides setting my goalkeeper to play short passes and tell him to distribute to a collecting defender, is there anyway to keep that footballing genius from the loop of 1. playing a long ball, 2. seeing the long ball being head back by a home team midfielder, 3. preparing for another one-on-one situation, 4. save the shot if he is lucky, and 5. go back to 1.?
Since ticking the HUB box on my GK his long kicks tend to go to my team more often than not. Logical when you think about it. It is good to have outfield players who can hold the ball up but to my mind the GK is the best positioned player on the field to HUB and give his side time to regroup and get forward.
