Defensive/Normal mentality
Medium/Narrow width
Medium/Deep defensive line
Easy tackling
Rarely closing down
Tight marking
Slow tempo
Medium Time Wasting
Wide Players and Forwards Make Forward Runs
One/Two Free Roles
MCs play Through Balls
Low Creative Freedom
Short Farrows on Wingers
I also have an attacking formation which help me score more goals, but concede more. Logically
My problem is that i concede even MORE goals when trying to play more defensive.
Then im asking you guys to help me out by answering these qustions, or maybe come up with something totally different.
Is this a good way to set up an Defensive/Counter tactic?
Im using 4-4-2 diamond, NOT the regular 4-4-2. Is this a "problem"?
Tempo= Slow? Shouldnt i play Fast in combination with Counter Attack?
I also want som input regards the passing. Direct?
PS: Im playing Leicester. No world class team, but im doing ok. Nothing more, nothing less.
Won the Championship 1st season, finished 14th. in PL 2nd. season. Conceding 89! and scoring 65!
As you can tell its not that my tactic is very underachiving that bothers me, but the fact that it acts like a Gung Ho tactic when im trying to play defensive:/

Making an effective Counter Tactic, need some tips/help... PLZ:) Post #2
Hey mate - you have gone up a division so it is to be expected that the competition will be mcuh more difficult.
In terms of your counter attacking tactic, passing for the back line should be direct so that back passes and sideways passes are eliminated.
If you have the wingers making long runs through farrows then distribution of the ball can be down the wings.
Try getting your fullbacks and DMC to hold theball up so that players such as the wingers can get into strong attacking positions.
Does your faster striker make forward runs often? Through balls should be on rarely except for those who can pass at about 14+ This will ensure more possession and passes of more accuracy.

- Yeah he does. The target man are on MIXED FWR. Sometimes i set him with often in combination with "run on to ball" TM supply.
