Nope it doesnt cheat you get the odd time when it is frustrating when you talk about winning 4-1 and losing 3-0, does Celtic Vs Artmedia Bratislava ring any bells, Artmedia won 5-0 at Home, then got beat 4-0 away. Results like that aren't unrealistic.

I have to agree, picking one obscure result doesn't prove anything, it actually makes your point worse. If we take the incidents that get major attention in England, there are probably four or five examples per year. Over the whole of televised football. The argument goes that this shouldn't be happening half a dozen times to one team.

Of course, this doesn't necessarily prove cheating, but picking random results to prove the "norm" doesn't help.

First of all, apologies for taking so long to getting to this thread. Real life has taken over.

Reason for saying no is:
I don't think the game cheats because that would be slightly absurd. I mean if companies do this kind of stuff to stop people winning, it could only mean one thing: Their basic programming capabilities are flawed. tbf, most of the people here get 20 total shots, with 15 on target, against big teams even, which imo is absurd.

Now assuming that such a high shot total does occour for human team, I cannot deny that most of them are blocked by the keeper. I must also mention that this game is VERY one-dimensional in case of what might win. Personally, I have seen that the tall striker direct ball game has been given far too much weightage. But that is another topic.

But I guess this thread is mostly about voting so I have my point of view.


I must add though, that the fact that there are more than 30% people voting yes in this thread should be a cause for concern for SI. This just mean that for lots of people (30% is a lot, although I understand that this is not a very wide-spread debate) are either having trouble understanding the mechanisms of this game or are not happy about the way game plans out. But then again, there are enough things unrealistic about this games (like £2.2B issue, D-line not working like suspected etc etc.)

Prince, I would hesitate to use the word, 'cheat.' I think 'over-compensation', 'performance/attribute boost', 'shot completion boost' are some key words/phrases that are more appropriate and are worth considering...
