how to improve an already decent tactic. leaking goals.
hi i am appreciative of any help. my problem is that i cant stop conceding goals home or away. i can score goals for fun but would like to keep a clean sheet every now and again. i play a pretty basic 4-3-3 with 2 attacking wingers pushing up to support a lone front man. i have won my last 6 premier league games but if i list the results you will see what i mean. man utd (h) 4-2, portsmouth (a) 3-2, middlesbrough (h) 4-3, cardiff city (a) 3-2, tottenham (h) 4-1, and finally lyon (h) (champions league) 4-2. i know many people will say that if im winning then whats the problem but i have jon woodgate and steven taylor as cb's and andrea pirlo as a dm in front of them with craig gordon in goal. my fb's are loic abenzoar and jose enrique. now i think that defensive unit is good enough to keep clean sheets. in games i usually go 2 or 3 up and then the dreaded 4-2-4 formation comes out. at this point i usually go defensive and counter attack dropping the 2 wingers to form a 5 man midfield but still i cant stop the onslaught. i play a short slow passing game with lots of time wasting. can anyone give any advice on how to shore up my defence as i have conceded as many goals as the relegation teams. by the way im a sunderland fan managing newcastle but still want to do a good job.or if someone could reccomend a good defensive tactic i can swith to after an hour as by this time im usually 2-3 goals to the good.again im appreciative of any help or advice
